Blogger Templates: My Top 6 Blogger Templates You Can Use

This article focuses on my top 6 Blogger templates I have used that you can choose from to use for your Blogspot blogs.

When starting your blog on blogspot (blogger), one of the important things you will do is to get one of the best blogger templates. The better your blogger theme, the better your readers relate and navigate your blog.

The templates am sharing with you now are my top 6 blogger templates (based on my experiences in using them) you may want to use for your current or coming blog project on Blogspot.

What are (Blogspot) blogger templates?

Blogger Templates are the layout structures or design of a blog. Templates can be likened to the architectural design of a building (where you have sitting room, living room, guest room, and kitchen and so on).

Templates are so powerful that they determine how your readers relate with your blog at their first visits. Template is normally use in case of blogger or blogspot blog while Theme is the term use in WordPress. They can be used interchangeably.

Things to look for in a Blogger Template

Before you settle down to use a particular blogger theme for your blog either free or paid, there are some things you should check. Viz;

1). SPEED: How fast is the demo view of the template when you check it with the best internet connection? It is necessary for it to be fast. Do not forget, we humans are not that calm to wait minutes for a blog to load.

2). RESPONSIVENESS: How mobile-friendly is the template? Do not forget that larger percentage of internet users do so via their mobile devices. Before you install any template, view it first on your mobile device to see how it looks. Also check, if the texts are legible (you don’t want your readers to strain their eyeballs before they read your blog posts).

3). SEO-READY: Usually the template developers or dealers include the description of the blogger templates they put out for sale and/or free download. Don’t overlook that aspect of SEO.

4). RELATED POST WIDGET: This is one of the most important widgets you should have on your blog. Related post widget gives the related content a reader has read. This is one of the ways to retain your visitors and increase your page views.

5). Is it customizable? I once used a template that refused to accept none of the CSS I was adding to it to make some changes. You don’t want to use template like that especially if you do not know much about about coding.

6). ADSENSE-READY: Is the blogger template naturally adsense-ready one? If not, can you manually edit the html code of the template and add your adsense codes inside? If it is yes to the questions, go ahead. But if no, get a AdSense ready blogger template for your blog.

How to install blogger template the right way

To install a blogger template, you first need to download the zip file of the template. If it’s the one you buy, the buyer will send the unzipped (xml) file to you.

To unzip blogger template, there are various zip to xml online you can use.

But what I use is WPS app on my device. Download the template >> Go to the download section of the WPS app >> Open the zip file and then the xml of the template >> Then go to my blogger dashboard to install new template and use WPS then choose the template I already opened.

6). Emporio Blogger Template

Emporio is the only blogger-owned template I ever used and that I love. It is available in the blogger theme directory for free. I started my blog journey on blogspot with emporio. Features are;
Mobile friendly, Seo ready, Less busy home page, customizable and more!

5). Top Magazine blogger Template

This is a blogger template meant for multiniche or news blogger. If your blog cuts across multiple categories, I recommend Top magazine blogger template for you. It is available on Gooyabitemplate for free and paid.

4). Goodness blogger Template

This is a Nigerian-developed blogger template. Developed by Prince John Okosun of Blogging Prince. I made mentioned of this template when I was writing about AdSense-ready blogger template sometimes in my previous posts.

Goodness blogger template is; SEO-friendly, Mobile-friendly, Neatly coded, Adsense-ready, Sticky header menu, sharing button above and below post and sticky facebook page like widget.

It is only available for sale and it is just (N2500). Have used it before. If you have a personal or business project on blogspot, you gonna love it. See Demo Here.

3). Sanai Blogger Template

Sanai blogger template has the same features and designed by same company as the Blogish blogger template discussed below. The only difference is its sharing button and footer newsletter widget. 2). Blogish Blogger template

Blogish is designed by Template mark at MS Design and currently you can buy the premium version or download the free version. Blogish has two Demos. See the reasons I love the template below;
It is customizable
– SEO-friendly
– Lots of fonts and colors to choose from
– Responsive/mobile-friendly
– related posts under each post
– Author profile
– Share button

Although it doesn’t have the natural way of adding adsense codes, with the use of Auto ads, you have no problem. The main reason I love the template is its SEO and how it structures my post title with my blog name showing just like in WordPress.

This template is designed by the Themeindie.com group and it’s available as free and paid version. Features of this template are; SEO-friendly, Featured image section, Neatly coded, AdSense-ready: You can add AdSense codes anywhere you want (without using auto ads), Customizable, Sticky header menu, Related post below post, Sharing button, Previous and Next post navigation.
